First Juice Custom Closure Story

A HEALTHY SERVING OF INGENUITY

David Glasser’s daughter, Rachael, made a request, “May I have a drink before bed?” All he had in the fridge was juice, but that night, a fresh idea was born.
 

“Other fruit juices are too sugary,” said Glasser, founder and CEO of First Juice. “I wanted to create a juice that tastes great but doesn’t cultivate a child’s sweet tooth.”
 

Glasser also wanted his juice to help parents. That meant the package had to be nearly impossible to spill. And that was the assignment he presented to TricorBraun.
 

Design Innovation

TricorBraun immediately began trying to figure out how to accomplish what had eluded so many others—a disposable, spill-resistant sippy cap at a reasonable price.

Business Growth

In their first launch year, First Juice was a big hit and exceeded expectations. The success of the sippy cap has given Glasser the determination to build upon this unique product and package to make way for the future expansion of First Juice.
