This was a turnkey project for the customer, with TricorBraun supplying ALL of the packages AND the wipes inside, from the custom-embossed decorative tins, the decorated wipes container itself and the wipes and oil filling. The Hoppe's brand is over 100 years old and they wanted to make a decorative collectable tin that matched their recognized branded bottle of oils and cleaners, which is what TricorBraun accomplished for them. In addition, because Hoppe's was new to the "wipes" product, they needed assistance with providing the wipes canister and the wipes themselves. We were able to supply everything and Hoppe's only needed to provide the oil and had only one contact to deal with.

Roxor Gin, New Artisan Spirits

Roxor Gin Bottle Packaging Buildings from world-famous skylines provided the inspiration for the custom-designed bottle created for New Artisan Spirits for their ROXOR, a new Gin that was conceived to meet the public's rising interest in unique spirits that are distilled in limited quantities.

The 750-ml and 1.75 liter bottles are made with cosmetic grade super flint glass and have a 33-400 custom light-weight polypropylene continuous thread closure designed by TricorBraun Design & Engineering. It is embossed with the spirit's name. A flat, window-pane relief designed at the bottle's waist serves as a grip and provides a space for the two-pass silkscreen label. The bottle's parting-line is placed on a diagonal so it cannot be seen across the face. The 1.75-liter bottle is taller and wider than its 750-ml counterpart yet maintains the same scale.

The entire line uses a custom-designed HDPE, 15-ounce, oblong bottle with a one-sided pinched waist. Whimsical Embossed bees fly along the pinched side of the bottle, providing eye-catching branding as well as a little extra grip-ability. The product line's SKUs are identified by custom-colored disc-type dispensing closures & pumps matched to each SKU's label. In-mold labeling provided durable product identification as well as a distinctive shelf presence.

3M Automotive Car Care Products, 3M Aftermarket Division

3M's Automotive Aftermarket Division wanted to make some changes to their existing packaging for their line of automotive car care products. They wanted a new look, but also wanted to consider more eco-friendly packaging. To that end, TricorBraun worked on a package re-design which included some sloped-shoulder oblong bottles with ribbed grips on the sides to give it a heavy-duty look and extra grip-ability. The eye-brow shaped indented label panel area protects the label. The ribbed grips are also echoed on the grip area of the oblong sprayer bottle. T o increase the environmentally friendliness, all of the packages were switched from PVC resin to PETE and run in 25% PCR .

Drug & Pharmaceutical: Gold

Transformers Gummi Multivitamins, Purity Life Health Products

TricorBraun worked with Purity Life to help them re-brand their line of Quest Gummi Vitamins. This included a custom PET packer that has the Quest name embossed around the shoulder. The deep green/teal color protects the product from UV light as well as working with the bronze custom closure to match the Transformers look.

A low-cal dog treat in a deodorant roll-on bottle! Now that's a creative use of stock packaging! This package has proven to be a very big seller! The full-body shrink sleeve labeling makes it very clear that the product you normally expect to see in this package is NOT what's there. But it's unusual enough to get people to pick it up.

Face Instant Bronze PackagingThe TricorBraun Design & Engineering package designer began with a basic idea from the tanning products manufacturer that the bottle should have a "twist", a bottle with a square footprint but not straight sided to the top of the bottle. Thus, the "twisted square" was born. The bottle, collar and pump were all designed to be integrated into the top of the package. To do that, the collar and pump head proportions had to be modified, balancing the curved, twisted form and straight-line function of pumping out the product. Accidental dispensing was taken out of the equation with the design of an anti-pump plug for the front nozzle. The metalized pump actuators and translucent colors of the acrylic outer container give a jewel-like appearance to the entire package, connoting regality and sophistication, justifying to the client the high cost of the product.

G Sake, Sake One

Sake PackagingSake One was looking for a bottle for their premium sake that was at the same time more interesting and less common, but also less expensive than their existing package. TricorBraun worked on several different possible designs before finding one that met the customer's expectations. The final result exceeded them; they even received compliments from the end users, who liked the unusual flat sides because it makes the bottle easier to hold and racks without a lot of moving/spinning around. That feature also saves the appearance of the package to eliminate scratching.

PackagingSashco had problems with the solvent-based product evaporating thru the walls and accruing in the head of the tube, which rendered the product unusable. TricorBraun eliminated the problem by supplying the tube with an EVOH barrier in the tube sleeve and the head of the tube, as well as fluorine treating the caulk-tip cap for added protection. Customer testing has shown a 90% increase in package performance.

The package was for the customer's 2011 Easter promotion and consists of an 8oz PET ball-shaped bottle with a silicone shell attached to the bottom in the shape of a cracked egg and decorated with eyes and beaks. The package sold out in 6 weeks!
