DESICCANT CONTAINERS COMMERCIALIZED

On February 1, 2005 TricorBraun entered into an exclusive agreement for the manufacture and distribution of Sasaki Chemical’s integrated desiccant technology. Sasaki, founded in 1946, in Kyoto, Japan holds world-wide patents on the process which have proven results for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical packaging. “Sasaki offers us a partnership to help expand our global presence and bring innovative products to our U.S. customer base” says Executive Vice President, George Dempsey.
 

This new line of products will enable TricorBraun to help customers break technological barriers and improve product shelf life for its customers, ultimately reducing cost to consumers.  Sasaki Chemical, a leading innovator in resin technology in Japan, sees its partnership with TricorBraun as best way to access the U.S. and other markets.  “With TricorBraun as our partner, we now have access to the entire U.S. market.  This partnership will allow U.S. companies to take advantage of technological advances that are already commercial in Japan” says Mr. Sasaki.  Together, TricorBraun and Sasaki will pursue the use of this technology in the healthcare, food, and electronics market.
