TricorBraun announced today that it has resolved a dispute with Candle Corporation of American concerning the alleged misappropriation of one of TricorBraun’s proprietary packaging designs in connection with CCA’s liquid potpourri line. CCA will pay an undisclosed sum to TricorBraun as compensation for TricorBraun’s time and expense in developing the packaging design. TricorBraun’s executive vice president for design and development, Craig Sawicki, said, “We are pleased to be able to resolve this dispute in a manner that we believe is mutually beneficial to TricorBraun and CCA while acknowledging the value and importance of TricorBraun’s intellectual property. We are committed to defending our industry-leading design work and intellectual property both for the company’s and our customers’ benefit.
