New beauty care products derived from rainforest
The Amazon Rainforest contains almost two-thirds of the world’s fresh water; its plants generate approximately 20 percent of the earth’s oxygen, and it is the residence for almost 30 percent of all animal species. Yet, this unique area has suffered from years of environmental onslaught.
TricorBraun helped Amazonia Nutrients, Inc. launch a new line of hair care products whose natural, restorative ingredients are derived from rainforest vegetation and are packaged in containers that are both recyclable and protect its distinctive ingredients.
TricorBraun, a member in the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, helped Amazonia identify the packaging that includes:
- 8-ounce aluminum cans for shampoo, conditioner and detangling spray.
- 2-ounce aluminum cans for shine serum.
- 8-ounce high-density polypropylene bottles than contain color protecting shampoo and conditioner.
- 4-ounce low-density polyethylene tubes that contain texturizing control gel, wearable styling treatment and color-protecting hydration mask.
- 8-ounce Coronado jar from a TricorBraun mold that features a 4-ounce inner jar with a 70mm polyethylene closure for intensive deep conditioner.
- Polypropylene harmony pumps from Calmar used on all shampoos, conditioners and detanglers. The serum containers use pumps from Seaquest.
- Recycled, 200-pound test shipping cartons provided by TricorBraun.
