California suntans are part of the American legend, and TricorBraun helped California Tan, a leading manufacturer and marketer of professional salon suntan lotion products, design a bottle that created a dazzling new visibility on the store shelves.

The new bottle, which began as a drawing in the sketch book of Carin Castelnuovo-Tedesco, company vice president of creative services, was handed off to the TricorBraun design and engineering department. After several months of collaboration, the “cobra” bottle was designed for California Tan’s latest product line, CypherTM.

TricorBraun sourced seven custom-designed components from international suppliers to make up the final package.

“It was really important to us that all of these parts come as tightly put together as possible. We didn’t want to hand over a bunch of little pieces to our filling supplier.

“TricorBraun worked with our quality control division to have the parts delivered in a way that was the simplest to put together,” said Castelnuovo-Tedesco.

California Tan was founded in 1987 and is distributed in 50 countries in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. The firm is owned by Australian Gold, also a TricorBraun customer.
