Are the carboys brand new or reused? What stopper works best for the 6 gallon or 6.5 gallon carboy to prevent liquid spilling during transportation?
The carboys are brand new and are not reused. For the 6 gallon or 6.5 gallon carboy with a 30 mm cork neck finish, the #17 natural tapered cork is the best and only stopper we offer. It provides a tight friction fit and is suitable for transport when properly seated, but these carboys are not designed to be liquid‑tight under pressure, so additional external protection is recommended during shipping to prevent spills.
