The 1/2 gallon (64 oz) clear glass round jar has an approximate height of 6.28 inches and an outside diameter of 5.59 inches. While glass can tolerate heat, this jar is not designed to be boiled, and boiling is not recommended due to the risk of thermal shock and breakage. Standard cleaning and sanitizing methods appropriate for glass packaging should be used instead.
