This 5 gallon Italian glass carboy is the perfect vessel for fermenting 4 gallon batches of beer, wine, hard cider, and mead. It’s also the perfect solution for secondary fermentation of 5 gallon batches. It’s inherently impermeable to oxygen, meaning it does not allow oxygen to pass through and affect the liquid inside. This is also a great vessel for storing filtered water.

Glass carboy tested for heavy metals!!Purchased the 5 gallon carboy for water. I like that it is tested for several heavy metals including lead, cadmium, and mercury. Tricor will also provide you the 3rd certification on these tests if requested. If you store water in plastic, you may definitely want to switch to this Italian glass carboy. Avoid the petrochemicals, micro plastics , BPA/ BPS, and other contaminants from plastic containers. I went ahead purchased 4 more.
